Yesterday we released our new TRV lookbook Helmut Roar, which was inspired by the incredible fashion photography of German-Australian artist Helmut Newton. He’s one of my favorite photographers, and we decided a few months ago to give him a little homage with our beautiful friends Emmeli and Erin.
If you see the lookbook, you’ll notice that we shot with a lot of mannequins. Among other things, Helmut Newton was known for incorporating mannequins into his photography, so we chose to have them all over the place. We also loosely re-created some of my personal favorite photographs of his. Here’s a little bit of what we did:
