LOVE AND VINTS

Love and vintage are in the air.

Last month, my husband Jordan and I celebrated our eight-year wedding anniversary, and a couple days ago, Topher and Amber celebrated their four-year.  Our men very sweetly decided to honor the occasion by buying us new vintage from Playclothes, an incredible shop in Burbank. Playclothes supplies Mad Men with lots of their delectable vintage, and even hosted a Mad Men fashion show a few years ago with members of the cast and crew.

Walking into Playclothes is a bit overwhelming because they have clothes and accessories everywhere (the word “cluttered” comes to mind, in the best way possible) and it’s all gorgeous stuff. You don’t know where to begin, and you want to begin everywhere all at once.

So what did I end up choosing after diving in? A 60a lemon-colored purse and 1970s sunglasses. I felt like having accessories that day.

Amber asked me to go with her when it was her turn to shop. She looked perfect in everything she tried on, as usual, but finally settled on an adorable 1970s romper and a spectacular 1960s two-piece dress.

It was a hard decision—she came thisclose to buying a two-piece top and skirt with a clown pattern on it—but we somehow managed to not give in and buy everything.

If you’re ever in Burbank, be sure to visit Playclothes, and if you’re ever not in Burbank, we have this awesome little store called They Roared Vintage.
