
Yves Saint Laurent’s “Mondrian” dress circa 1965 has a way of resurfacing every several years to be loved by a new audience: the mark of a truly unique and pleasing design. The dress was, of course, a marvel of the mod style, but a little-known fact about the Mondrian style is that it was, at one time, believed to be cursed due to its pattern. Some speculated that the cubes on the dress were a copy and invasion of ancient symbols.
