If you’ve never seen The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant from 1972, you are missing out on some of the most absolutely stunning vintage clothes and couture I’ve ever seen.
The title character, Petra von Kant, is a fashion designer in the film, which is why there’s such a heavy dose of colorful, dramatic costumes to feast your eyes on. While the movie does have strong themes, to me, it’s more like a two-hour-long fashion video. A gorgeous one.
