Based in Los Angeles and founded in 2007, They Roared Vintage is carefully and lovingly managed by Tori and Amber. Tori has been a vintage collector since her early years and is daily inspired by the past. Amber is a botanophile from the California mountains who finds the history and uniqueness of vintage fascinating.
We love vintage because it’s unique and can be full of surprises. It has traveled the world. It has lived other lives, and has been loved before. It demands attention and represents a time in music, film, fashion, and design when things were made well, and made with care. It’s timeless, historic, and beautiful.
I’m Tori. Every time I try to cook, I burn myself. I got married when I was 19 to my one true love, Jordan. I really like Twin Peaks, Jack White, movies, reading, Jeffrey Eugenides, and wrinkly dogs. I think I might be the biggest Cleo King fan in the world. I’m in love with the 1960s. I do pretty much whatever rock ’n roll tells me to do. 60s Summer of Love Vest
It’s just so hippie and beautiful. Lovely color, a flattering shape, and a great brand: good old Gassy Jack.
70s Fake Empire Necklace
Amber and I found this necklace together, and we both fell in love with it. I love how the strands twist and tangle, and it hangs beautifully. So unique and sexy.
60s Lovely Rita Pants
My favorite color is green, so of course I adore these. Perfect colors, a great vintage print, and just a great pair of wild, attention-grabbing pants.
I’m Amber. Plants, cooking, and health are really important to me. Good design and nature are most inspiring to me. I’m happiest in a forest or on a mountain, especially if there is something to climb. My husband, Topher, is the love of my life. I hope to one day have a big farm or garden to grow my own food. Vintage clothes used to be strange to me, but Tori opened my eyes to the fabulous world of vintage fashion delights. Thank you, T!

These little comma-shaped earrings are so sweet and sophisticated. They dress up an outfit in the cutest way. I especially love it when Tori pairs them with our Backstory dress.
60s Abba Zabba Dress
I am hopelessly in love with flamboyant patterns. The luxurious fabric also makes me want to wear heels and sip cocktails all day.
60s Vintage Psuche Delose Jumpsuit
If I were not so tall, I would be living in this jumpsuit. If this piece never finds a home, then I’m going to have to frame it, or keep it on a mannequin in my living room. Its an inspiration to the eyes.
40s Vintage Portugese Crop Jacket
Another pattern party for my eyes. This jacket stirs up an intense longing to travel the world. Gorgeous.
