Bathroom at Chateau Marmont

WHAT I WORE:

1970s Boogaloo Jumpsuit

WHERE I WORE IT:
Chateau Marmont and Arclight

Yesterday was mine and my husband Jordan’s nine-year wedding anniversary. Nine years have taken us from North Carolina, to Rhode Island, to Kentucky, to Florida, to California—making films, working very hard, playing, making friends, and being in love.

Jordan started the day off with two dozen pink and white roses and champagne. And a card…that he forgot to write in.

Later we went to two of our favorite places in Hollywood, Chateau Marmont for dinner and the Arclight theater for a movie. I know Chateau Marmont might sound cliché, but I can’t help but love it. To me, it represents the beauty and the tragedy of Los Angeles in one historic bite. Its past is romantic and murky, and it feels cinematic just to be there. It’s also a beautiful place to sit and eat, and their food is always yummy in my tummy. As we were leaving, the paparazzi took our photo. I’m not quite sure who they thought we were.

As for the Arclight, it’s one of the only theaters that doesn’t drive Jordan crazy. He’s picky about sound and projection, and the Arclight is known for its amazing film presentation and huge screens. The theater was designed with a respect for movies in mind. It’s perfect. Plus, they were having the premiere for Lawless there last night. That was fun, too.

This jumpsuit is so comfortable. It basically feels like you’re wearing pajamas. The material is very soft and light. Secondly, the compliments come flying at me every time I have it on. Even the hostess at Chateau Marmont—who I’m sure sees her share of Marc Jacobs clothing and Prada daily—loved it. I chose to wear this because Jordan adores it on me, and also because it’s red, the color of love. It’s also perfect for summer, especially August. This is definitely one of my favorite shop pieces.

I can’t believe I’ve been married for almost ten years. Thank you so much to Jordan and to Los Angeles for making this anniversary amazing.
