I feel the need to ask: what is it about this bag that people love so much? This American Tourister bag is the most “favorited” vintage item on our shop. It is included in a new treasury lists three to four times per week. Why?!
Is it the color?
The squatty, rotund shape?
The two slightly helpless broken feet?
The darling buckle that doesn’t actually buckle?
The brand?
My ✶amazing✶ photos? (probably not, but I’d like to think so haha)

Oh, taste and personal preference. This is an ongoing discussion that Tori and I have. What is it that makes us like the things we like? Especially in vintage? Tori saw this bag and fell in love with it, while I would have never thought twice about it. I also never would have guessed that it would be the most-admired piece on our shop. Yet here it is, at the top of the list. Interesting.
The tag still has the name of the original owner on it: a Ms. Lillian Miele from New York. What exactly is this bag doing in California, anyway? Maybe Lillian left it on the beltway at LAX and was never able to recover it. Hmm. Another vintage mystery.
Why do you think this bag is so popular? I want to know!
